Employment

An employment relationship is formed when the employer and employee agree on the work, the work is performed under the management and supervision of the employer and the work is paid for.

Work can be done under various circumstances, e.g. regularly, full time, in a fixed term or part-time. The nature of it has an impact on how your working time or holidays are determined, or how to proceed if you fall ill.

At the beginning of your new work you should make sure that your work contract has your rights and duties recorded correctly. Remember also to make sure that the end of your employment will take place correctly, whether it is by your own or your employer’s initiative.
